Longuet Minister said that Qatar and Kuwait have not yet taken a final decision on whether to buy French Rafale. These countries do not apply to contracts, as long as they fail to do a similar step, the UAE, with Paris negotiating the purchase of 60 fighters. The reason is - according to the minister - the desire to maintain interoperability between the air forces of allied Arab states.
Unfortunately, the UAE military authorities have recently expressed their disappointment at the offer of Dassault Aviation. The French demanded too much money. Informally proposed price determined as absurd . Therefore, discussions with competing suppliers.
Any failure of the negotiations with that country may therefore lead to a loss of potential orders for a total of more than one hundred Rafale. According to available information, because Qatar is interested in purchasing 24, while Kuwait 18-22 fighters.
