Under the contract with the Pentagon - the vast majority of U.S. broker export transaction - Boeing will supply 10 aircraft C-17 Globemaster III for 1 781 413 723 USD, ending the execution of the order in July 2014. This means that the unit price will be around 178 million, or slightly less than in the case of domestic procurement of the Air Force.
Buying the same aircraft, however, is only part of the total cost of the Indian contract. It was signed in the middle of last year (see the Indian Contract C-17 ), and although the parties have not yet revealed the exact information, it is estimated that its value is between 4 and $ 5 billion.
Other measures will cost the purchase of equipment, spare parts package and the cost of service and training.
