Gunners YUVO Self-Propelled Howitzers, "MSTA-S"

Artillery units of one of the formations deployed in the Chechen Republic, fully equipped modern self-propelled howitzers (SG) "MSTA-S", the press service of the Southern Military District.
The new artillery system has come to replace the IG "Acacia" and superior to its predecessor on the firing range and driving characteristics. 

Self-propelled howitzers, "MSTA-S" equipped, integrated satellite navigation system GLONASS, which greatly speeds up orienteering in difficult geographical conditions, and allows faster and more effectively carry out fire problem.

Currently, more than 120 soldiers, artillerymen are retrained for new equipment. Total planned more than 210 hours of specialized and technical training. Earlier, more than 60 soldiers have been retrained on this artillery system in one of the centers for the Russian Defense Ministry. Classes will be completed full-time live-fire a projectile.

152-mm highly mobile armored self-propelled howitzer "MSTA-S" is designed to defeat unsheltered and sheltered purposes: manpower, armored and unarmored military vehicles, field fortifications, air defense and missile defense command and control facilities, and the enemy rear.
