Materials: Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, Drill, Knobs, Furniture Wax
Description: I took a dark brown Malm 6 drawer dresser from modern and plain to full of character and charm. I started by making a template of the drawer front out of some craft paper and marking where I wanted the holes. I went with 5 1/2 inches from each end.
After drilling all of the holes I painted the whole dresser and all of the drawers with some Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in the color Napoleonic Blue. This paint is perfect for using on laminate. It sticks to anything. I was even able to distress some of the paint off all around the edges with some fine sandpaper. Afterwards I waxed the whole dresser with Annie Sloan Furniture Wax which gave the whole thing a very hand finished look. The dresser now just has lots more character and doesn't look like something made in mass production.
