In the past hour, eight Qassam rockets have been fired towards Israel's southern region, with 13 in total this afternoon. No damage or casualties were reported, but residents were instructed to enter protected areas.
After a restless night, a considerable number of Qassam rockets were launched towards Israel’s southern region today as well.
The rockets mostly fell in open areas in the Eshkol regional council. One of them fell at a distance of just a few dozen meters from a Negev regional police bomb team that was trying to locate the latest fallen rockets in the area.
The military instructed local residents to enter protected areas from the start of the fire. Hamas’s military wing, Izz ad-Din al-Qassam, took responsibility for the fire and claimed that it launched “ten Grad rockets” since the afternoon. At the same time, the IAF attacked targets in Gaza, and Palestinian sources are reporting at least one person badly wounded.
