The production facility will make a wide range of weapons and will supply the Slovak armed forces. One of the plant’s main products is to be a semiautomatic 9mm pistol, the CZ 75 P-07 Duty.
Under the plan, the joint venture will create about 260 jobs in Kremnicke Bane, according to data released by the state-run Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency. The project has secured the support of the Slovak Ministry of Economy. The amount of the investment was not disclosed by the two companies.
Ceska zbrojovka says one of its key foreign markets is the U.S., where the Czech business operates through its subsidiary, CZ-USA.
