Brazilian Navy announced the arrival of the first two SH-70B helicopters (local designation MH-16) Seahawk. Brazilians ordered a total of six machines in the version of the submarine.

July 30 representatives of the Navy disclosed that the airport Cabo Frio first arrived in Brazil two helicopters ordered by the MH-16 Seahawk. The Brazilian arrived on board a machine belonging to the USAF cargo plane Boeing C-17 Globemaster III.

MH-16 helicopters to replace the service of seven 40-year-old SH and SH-3A-3B Sea King. The new machines were allocated to 1 submarine helicopter squadron and will be used to combat the purposes of surface, submarine and search and rescue shares.
