IVECO LMV with a URC Systems SYMON mobile HF/VHF/UHF monitoring and DF system.
Scanner by Rhode & Schwarz, automatic turret by GEROH
Since 2009, the Czech Army is using the products of URC Systems, who are selling their jammers and EW-equipment to other Armies in Europe. At the Future Soldier exhibition the Czech Army is presenting the latest products of URC Systems.
The smallest version in the jammer family is the STAR (Czech for Module Jammer) Manpack C. it offers a total output power of 80 Watts (old Manpack: 40 Watts) and has a weight of 17 kg (old:23 kg). The STAR MANPACK C offers for module antennas. It is not fielded in the army so far, because it is brand new. It works perfectly together with the SYMON Light portable Radio Surveillance Station. The manpack is monitoring a spectrum in range from 20 MHz up to 3 GHz in a reaction time between 10 to 50 ms (depending on the band).
SYMON Light
For the use in vehicles there is the SYMON mobile HF/VHF/UHF monitoring and DF system. It can fully autonomous find and track new signals (threats) so the station could work unmanned. The technology is based on URC Systems digital monitoring/scanning receiver IZ 225 and direction finder/scanner DDF 255. Antenna systems covers frequency range from 10kHz up to 6GHz. The scanning speed is up to 80GHz/s. the system is presented in an IVECO LMV. The scanner is by Rhode & Schwarz and the automatic mount by GEROH.The second IVECO LMV is carrying the STAR V jammer. This vehicle is meant to protect a convoy. The smaller version, the STAR Light 3/6 is only for vehicle self protection. The STAR V has a weight of 85 kg with a total power output of up to 740W and eight output power bands (V/U1/U2/U3/G GSM/D DCS/C CDMA/W WiFi).
