3D technologies development company, UNIGINE Engine, has announced that it has been selected to develop the visualisation component of analytical software for Almaz-Antey anti-air, anti-missile and space defence systems.
Almaz-Antey products include the SA-10 Grumble, SA 12 Giant/Gladiator, SA 20 Gargoyle, SA-21 Glower missile weapon systems, automated control systems and specialised software.
UNIGINE Engine develops cross-platform 3D engines for both computer games and interactive simulation for scientific research, military training systems, virtual reality systems and much more. Development of the visualisation-analytical software complex is being led by specialists of the Design Centre at the Department of Radio Engineering and Cybernetics at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, and UNIGINE Engine has been selected for its ability to provide photorealistic image quality in real-time with advanced performance and scalability depending on the hardware resources.
Gregory Krasnozhenov, head of the Visualization project at the Design Centre of the Department of Radio Engineering and Cybernetics at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, said: ‘For our project, we have chosen a technologically advanced tool that is flexible and optimised for performance – the UNIGINE Engine.
‘Our experience with UNIGINE Engine has proven that the work environment is convenient and the provided technical support is quick and of high quality... State-of-the-art real-time rendering technology found in UNIGINE Engine allows us to bring visual quality in our software complex to the top’.
