New Improved Version of the K-POS

The improvements to the system allow for the use of a wider variety of optical scopes, and an integral cocking mechanism based on the M16 assault rifle.


Four years after producing the K-POS system, which is intended to provide pistols with submachine gun characteristics, FAB Defense is releasing an improved version of the system based on the lessons learned from the operational use of the original.

Developed in 2008 after a demand from the German security forces, the K-POS system is characterized by its precision. Mounting rails, a five-point weapon grip, its modern design, small dimensions that allow for concealment, a silencer option, simple operation, safe movement with a bullet in the barrel, simple and swift assembly without the need for special tools, and an anodize-coated T6 6061 aluminum-based body make the system a light weight weapon with considerable strength and rapid heat dissipation.


The system is suited for most Glock models (including "C" models) and for two Sig Sauer models. With more than 10,000 units sold worldwide to law enforcement units, military units, security forces, and private customers at a worth of $6.5 million, by all accounts the gun is a success.

In addition to the existing features, the improved K-POS has new features: all the system’s parts are assembled on the body; the system’s structure allows for the weapon’s assembly without the use of any special tools or accompanying parts; there is an integral cocking mechanism based on the cocking mechanism of the M16 assault rifle; the side rail and the upper top rail (along the length of the body) are part of the system’s body; there is an improved stock; improvements have been made in the process of assembling the silencers; and the gun’s dimensions have changed, allowing for the use of Glock 18 pistols in an automatic firing position.

The changes to the structure allow shooters to utilize a wider range of optic scopes while decreasing the amount of combustion gas emitted towards the shooter, and at the same time, hardens the system’s structure.
