Agusta Westland, Eurocopter and Sikorsky indicated their willingness to take part in the Polish tender for the supply of 26 multi-role helicopters, said Defence Inspectorate of Armaments.
Yesterday deadline for the submission of documents by potential bidders, confirming their ability to participate in the proceedings concerning the purchase by the MoD 26 multipurpose helicopters. Manufacturers were required to include to prove creditworthiness, submit permits the marketing of products that require licenses and permits relating to the protection of classified information.
These conditions are complied with Sikorsky International Operations, Agusta Westland and Eurocopter. The first two players in our country have their own plants, respectively, and PZL Mielec PZL Swidnik. The exception is the Eurocopter. Due to the still undetermined, but declared by the minister of national defense, Thomas Siemoniak production requirement or at least in Poland ordered assembly of helicopters, it can be assumed that the company has prepared an alternative solution. This may be such agreement with WZL 1 in Lodz.
