New Bases Outside Russia?

Information the commander of the Russian Navy, on the holding talks with Cuba, Vietnam and Szeszelami on their territories to open military bases, was almost immediately denied by the Ministry of Defence.

The Admiral Panteleyev, a Russian destroyer design by 1155, in the course of this year's international RIMPAC exercises. The ship took part in anti-piracy operations in 2009. The possibility to use the database to Szeszelach much would improve its operation.

But the fact is that Russia can now use only the Syrian base in Tartus, which due to the internal situation in this country is not certain. However, these locations would provide the possibility of Russian warships operating in key regions of the globe. Particularly important seem to be in this statement Szeszele, located near the Horn of Africa. They provide both direct support for any anti-piracy off the Somali coast, and observe the situation in the region of Iran.
